FAQ
We’re in downtown San Diego in the Historic Gaslamp Quarter on the corner of 4th Ave and F St. We do not have our own parking lot. But never fear! Right across the street is the entrance to the Horton Plaza parking structure. Most of our patrons the drive to the Mad House park there. We have discount parking validations for customer that make the parking cost at Horton $12 dollars for 3 hrs. Our shows are an hour and half long so 3hrs should be enough to show up early and not have to rush back to your car after the show. The parking validation is only good for 3hrs so be aware of your time if your planning to do something before or after the show :)
Tickets are non–refundable, but if for some reason you are unable to use a ticket, we will honor it at another show. There are some rules here … no special events etc., but bottom line is we love you and we’ll take care of you if something comes up. We wouldn’t want you to pay for a ticket you never get to use.
Seating is first come, first served. If you have a group, we want you to sit together and we’ll try our best to make that happen, but it’s not a guarantee. It helps if your entire party, or at least most of it, are here when the doors open for seating.
We accept just about any credit or debit card you would like to use.
Guests must have valid/current state issued picture id (driver’s license, etc.) to enter. We also accept us passports. We accept foreign passports as long as they are valid and stamped by a customs agent on the way into the country. We accept us military picture id’s. That’s it, no exceptions to those rules. Expired id’s do not count as valid. Sorry, again it’s not us, it’s state law.
We are a 18+ venue. Sorry, it’s the state law not us… and don’t try any shenanigans if you’re under 18… our security staff is handpicked by the fort knox people. Don’t do it, it’s just going to make us both mad and we’re here to have fun.
Shows run about 90 minutes, maybe a little longer depending on how much fun we’re having.
That’s show biz folks … every once in a blue moon something happens that might cause a show disruption and we can’t do anything about that. The show will go on and we have top flight performers ready to entertain you in case of a comedy emergency.
We actually don’t have a dress code. We do ask that everyone wears some kind of clothing, but we’re not too strict about that. Joking aside, wear whatever makes you happy. If you feel sexy, do it… if you feel like wearing flip flops, do it. (wash your feet and do it!)
The mad house comedy club is located at 801 fourth ave (corner of f st.), San Diego, California, 92101, USA, North America, earth, that’s it for now.
